1. Overview
This policy explains what data NBI.money collects, why, and how we protect it. We built NBI.money to keep your financial data private to you (and your family, if you choose to share). We do not sell your data.
2. What we collect
- Account details: your name, email and a securely hashed password.
- Financial data: holdings, balances, transactions and values that you import or that we read from accounts you connect (e.g. INDmoney, Zerodha, Upstox) using read-only authorisation.
- Preferences: goals, target allocations, date of birth (for age-based planning), and your consent choices at signup.
3. What we don’t collect or do
We never store your broker passwords or login credentials. We use read-only access — we cannot place trades or move money. We do not collect data from your device beyond what’s needed to run the app.
4. How we use your data
To display your portfolio, compute net worth, returns and analytics, power goal and tax planning, send account-related messages, and — only if you opt in — send promotional updates.
5. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only: (a) with members of a family you choose to join; (b) with infrastructure providers that host the service (e.g. our database and cloud hosting) strictly to operate it; and (c) where required by law.
6. Storage & security
Data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure with access controls. Passwords are hashed. Connections use read-only OAuth tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
7. Your rights
You can view and edit your data in the app, unlink any connected account, opt out of promotional messages, and permanently delete your account (and all associated data) from Settings at any time.
